Imperial Stout with Diner Coffee, Smoked Sea Salt, Toasted Texas Pecans, Maple Syrup, Cinnamon, and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Mexican Vanilla Beans I am never sure I will return from space. Lost here I am convoluted, living among non-sequitous curiosities. The vision is unclear, the canvas unclean. Things that dance upon backgrounds are infestations of my projections. A commitment to thought is a foolish meandering of rationality. And I am here merely as a function of physical matter. No longer a figment of sentient thought. There is a pathway to purity. Under the breaks in the rusted tin and through the splits in the wood, you too shall see it. To paint this portrait for you we blended 3 varied-age Imperial Stouts and conditioned them with appropriate Methodical Coffee, Maplewood smoked sea salt, house-toasted southern pecans, maple syrup, and cinnamon. We then added a Mexican vanilla beans aged briefly in a small bourbon cask. The crossroads of consciousness brings forward a morning cup of coffee with a fresh pack of smokes, warm Texas pecan pie, topped in vanilla whipped cream, and all the boilermaker accommodation you require.
Smooth, creamy, and irresistibly flavorful, this English-style blonde ale is brewed with East Kent Goldings hops, flaked oats, and barley, then fermented with a traditional London ale yeast for a rich, balanced profile. In the secondary, we add locally roasted coffee, vanilla, and a hint of hazelnut, creating a luscious blend of roasty, sweet, and nutty notes.
Vietnamese iced coffee is a decadent drink known to be stronger, bolder, and sweeter than your everyday drip brew. Coffee beer in Charlotte: FAQ
What is a coffee beer?
A coffee beer has real coffee in it. Brewers add whole beans, cold brew or espresso, usually after fermentation so the aroma survives, and often source it from a local roaster. A lot of dark beers taste a bit like coffee without any in them, because roasted barley and dark malts are roasted much like coffee beans. Those stouts aren't on this list unless the brewery says coffee went in.
Which Charlotte breweries have coffee beer on tap right now?
35 coffee beers are on tap at 31 Charlotte-area breweries. The most right now: Hi-Wire Brewing (2), Legal Remedy Brewing (2), Old Well Brewery (2) and Suffolk Punch Brewing (2).
About this list
We count a beer when coffee is in its name or style, or its description says coffee went in ("brewed with", "conditioned on", "cold brew", a named roaster). Tasting-note mentions of coffee don't count. Nitro cold brew served on its own isn't beer, so it's left out too.
