Armored Cow Brewing is a 100% veteran-owned brewery that opened in 2017 as University City's first brewery. Founded by former Sycamore Brewing head brewer Andrew Kalinoski, who began brewing gluten-free beer for his mother-in-law with celiac disease, the brewery specializes in both traditional craft beers and 100% gluten-free offerings made with natural grains like buckwheat, rice, and millet. The spacious 8,000+ square foot facility features 18 taps, an open view of brewing operations, and extensive indoor and outdoor seating. Recently recognized as one of the Top Dog-Friendly Breweries in the USA 2025 by Chewy.com, the brewery cultivates a family-friendly, welcoming environment.
