American Pilsner, brewed with premium pilsner malt and hopped with American grown Saaz.
Charlotte & Queen Charlotte3
The city is named for Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, wife of Britain's King George III. Settlers chartered the town in her honor in 1768.
Our traditional Czech Pilsner base hopped in the kettle with Michigan-grown Zuper Saazer & German-grown Hallertau Mittelfruh.
Queen City & QC2
Charlotte's nickname, from the same queen. Locals shorten it to QC on everything from team names to beer names. Queen City Common is a cider from Charlotte's Red Clay Ciderworks, and several breweries pour it as a guest tap.
A semi-dry cider fermented with champagne yeast at low temps. It features mineral notes with a light apple aroma.
704 & CLT3
704 is Charlotte's original area code, and the one locals still treat as shorthand for the city. CLT is the airport code, and it ends up on a lot of local merch.
Malty German Wheat Beer brewed in collaboration with Epiphany Malthouse. 100% NC craft malted and grown wheat and barley. Bottle conditioned with banana and clove yeast profile.
At OMB, we love all things Charlotte. So we decided to name this delicious beer after the area code synonymous with Charlotte. Aromatic and refreshingly crisp, with pleasant lemon and mandarin orange notes courtesy of Loral and Mandarina Bavaria hops.

Hornet's Nest2
In 1780, British General Cornwallis reportedly called Charlotte "a hornet's nest of rebellion" after local militia harassed his army. The nickname stuck: the police badge carries a hornet's nest, and the NBA Hornets took their name from it.
Our award-winning, unfiltered, subtly sweet wheat ale with fruity notes of banana & spice.
Mecklenburg4
Charlotte's county, Mecklenburg, is named for the queen's home duchy. Locals call it "Meck". The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery takes its name from the county too.
A remarkably smooth, clean, easy-drinking lager that delivers full flavor without the weight.
This Bavarian style lager is a liquid homage to our home in Mecklenburg County. With its crystal clear, golden blonde color, Mecklenburger is fresh, smooth and easy to love.
Mecktoberfest is OMB's most award-winning beer, and the perfect beer to celebrate fall. This Märzen-style amber lager is the original Oktoberfest Bier: rich, malty, and super smooth.
The Mecklenburg Declaration2
Local tradition says Mecklenburg County leaders declared independence from Britain on May 20, 1775, more than a year before Philadelphia, and that Captain James Jack rode the news to the Continental Congress. Historians still argue over whether the document existed, but the date is on North Carolina's flag. "First in Freedom" was once on NC license plates.
We created this crisp, smooth, straw-colored Pilsner as a salute to the courage of Captain James Jack and the members of the Mecklenburg Convention, who on May 20, 1775 signed the first declaration of independence in America! Enjoy the unmistakable taste of freedom in every swig.
Martin Munzler1
Martin Munzler, a Bavarian immigrant, ran what OMB calls Charlotte's first brewery, and possibly North Carolina's.
Munzler's Vienna Lager: Martin Munzler founded the first brewery in Charlotte, and possibly North Carolina. A Bavarian immigrant, he produced the same traditional beer styles OMB is known for today. In tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of Martin Munzler, we created this crisp, satisfyingly smooth lager with a slight toastiness courtesy of darker malts typical in Munzler's era. Just like Munzler promised in his first newspaper advertisement in 1860, OMB is always "prepared to furnish you with beer of first-rate quality." Prost!
Uptown1
Charlotteans call their downtown "Uptown", a local quirk that marks you as a newcomer if you get it wrong.
South End & LoSo5
South End is the old rail-and-mill district just south of Uptown, now Charlotte's densest cluster of breweries along the light rail and the Rail Trail. LoSo is Lower South End, a little further down the line.
LOSO Light Kellerbier inspired to quench thirst of local athletes. Crisp light craft American Lager. Supports CLT Foundation for children with special needs.
Our most apple-forward cider presents with a bright apple aroma, slight honey notes, and a juicy finish without a cloying sugar overload.
Southend Santa
$6.50The Devil Went Down To Loso
This black lager is dry with medium-low body and moderate bitterness. Mild roasted malts with subtle malt sweetness. Collab with Devil's Logic.
The Light Rail1
The LYNX Blue Line light rail runs from UNC Charlotte through Uptown and South End. It's the easiest way to get between South End taprooms.
It's known as Diaetbier in Germany, now established here as our light lager. It's a very fruity and hoppy experience with almost a quarter less calories than our regular Pilsner but the same 5 % ABV. So, hop on the light Rail and reach out for Gilde's new lager style Bier.
Freedom Park1
Freedom Park is the big park in Dilworth and Myers Park, with a lake, ball fields and Festival in the Park every September.
Sugar Creek1
Sugar Creek is one of the creeks that run through Charlotte. It also gives its name to the LoSo brewery that brews the beer below.
A multicultural fusion combining American and European styles. Pronounced hop-flavors of fruit, citrus, pine, and grapefruit balance a caramelized toastiness. Medium-bodied ale with a dry finish.
Lake Norman, Lake Wylie & Mountain Island Lake4
Duke Energy dammed the Catawba River into three reservoirs around Charlotte: Lake Norman to the north, Lake Wylie to the southwest, and Mountain Island Lake between them. Mountain Island Lake supplies much of the city's drinking water.
This is named after an Amazonian fish, related to a piranha, that was once caught in Lake Wylie. Pacu Porter is an American Porter that uses subtle American hops to balance a bready malt flavor and subtle roast.
Essence of Lake Norman, fresh cut grass, sun burn, crisp, dry.
