Before You Go

  • This route needs a car (or rideshare budget) for the day — the stops are spread across neighborhoods that aren't walkable to each other.
  • Designate a driver for the day, or budget for rideshare between every stop — don't drive after drinking.
  • Start earlier than you think; between drive time, ordering, and actually enjoying each stop, five breweries is a full day.
  • Eat a real meal at some point — most of these breweries have food trucks or a kitchen, so build lunch into one of the middle stops rather than skipping it.
  • Charlotte traffic is worse at rush hour (roughly 4-6pm) — if you're driving through Uptown-adjacent areas, plan around it.
