Legion Brewing
Founded in 2015 by Phil Buchy and Newton Craver, Legion Brewing has grown from a neighborhood brewery in Plaza Midwood to become one of Charlotte's largest craft breweries. The original location occupies a former sheet music factory building, paying homage to its history with vintage signage and framed sheet music covers. In 2022, Legion opened their 17,000-square-foot production facility in West Charlotte (formerly Mitchum Potato Chip factory), featuring a state-of-the-art Braukon brewing system capable of producing 100,000 barrels annually. Each location has its own character—Plaza Midwood offers the original cozy taproom with skyline views, SouthPark provides elevated dining in Capitol Towers, and West Morehead features a biergarten with brick oven pizzas.
