Since opening in September 2017, Resident Culture has become one of Charlotte's most acclaimed breweries. Their flagship Plaza Midwood location, housed in a family-owned warehouse since 1982, serves as both brewery and taproom with an active brewing operation you can smell as you enter. The motto 'where your weird is welcome' captures their inclusive, funky community vibe. They have a genuine appreciation for assertive, hop-forward styles while also excelling at lagers and mixed culture/spontaneous fermentation beers. Their coolship program reflects an obsession with hyper-local ingredients and sense of place. The tight-knit crew creates exceptional beers across all styles, with their flagship Lightning Drops IPA leading the way.
