Panzú Brewery is Mint Hill's first and only brewery, founded by siblings Rosa Marte de Pacheco and Johan Marte from the Dominican Republic in 2023. Named 'Panzú' (meaning 'big beer belly guy' in Dominican slang) in honor of their late father who taught them business acumen, appreciation of native flavors, and deep love of beer. The brewery brings Caribbean-inspired tapas and craft beer to the Charlotte area with a relaxed, beachside resort atmosphere. The 3,000 square foot space features 16 taps brewed on-site, indoor seating with brewing operation views, outdoor deck with fire pits, and local Caribbean-inspired artwork throughout. The menu showcases Dominican Republic, Haitian, Cuban, and Puerto Rican flavors served tapas-style including the signature Panzú Board (charcuterie), Canal de la Mona (caramelized sweet plantain with pulled pork and Manchego cheese), empanadas, and fried plantains. Member of Charlotte Independent Brewers Alliance.
