Middle James Brewing
Middle James Brewing opened in August 2019 as Pineville's first brewery, founded by homebrewer Mike Smoak and professional brewer Andrew Viapiano who met while brewing at one of Charlotte's biggest breweries. Mike won a homebrew competition that landed him the opportunity to make beer at a local brewery where Andrew was head brewer. After more than 3 years of planning and construction, they created a sports-themed, family-friendly brewery with 14 TVs throughout the space, perfect for watching games. All three locations have NFL Sunday Ticket and show every game every Sunday, plus commercial plans for ESPN+ and Peacock for English Premier League matches. The brewery features an in-house kitchen with full food menu, view of golf driving range from back patio, and regularly supports non-profits including Move For Jenn, Run Jen Run, Kindermourn, and Matias Rosado Foundation.
